Water
In this domain, we conduct advocacy for water access for all.
Since 2006, we do organize events to celebrate World Water Day within diverse areas of Benin.

In 2009, our NGO was selected to prepare the coming in Benin of a mission sent by the Dutch government to conduct feasibility studies for potential projects focused on human rights on water and sanitation in Benin.

In partnership with WATERLEX, Switzerland’s NGO, promoting human rights to water, we have conducted a project focused on setting up a national strategy for decentralized cooperation. based on human rights, for water and sanitation . These activities were implemented from February to November 2014. This project was then closed by an international conference with participants from several countries, from 11 to 12th of November 2014.

Technical assistance was ensured by Global Water Solidarity (GWS and financially supported by La Ville de Genève and UNDP Génève.

In the governance field, ICA Benin has conducted a capacity building project for Safer Water Consumers Associations of the four municipalities of Dong region between 2012 and 2014 with the financial support of Both Ends (Holland)

Water Supply

From 2015 to 2016, our organization has built boreholes for rural communities in three villages of the Atlantic region:  Dodja ( Abomey Calavi), Adjago (Zè) and Dédomey (Kpomassè).

Women’s promotion
Our organization has a women's department through which, we provide assistance to them. Actually, we have more than 14 cooperatives working on many activities such as: crops processing, farming, saving initiatives, and literacy

Urban Thinkers Campus

Since 2017, our organization has been appointed by World Urban Campaign UN HABITAT to host a great workshop about Urban Development 'Urban Thinkers Campus' in Benin. Our government has supported this even from 9 to 11th October 2017. We are pleased to announce that, ICA Benin has been approved  as Associates Partner of World Urban Campaign (UN HABITAT)

We are organizing ourselves to host an UTC in Djougou, a city of Donga region

Capacity Building

In July, 2019, we organized a training workshop on participatory leadership, using ToP technology. Participants were ICA Benin board members and staff, but also from sisters organizations with the financial support of ICA UK, and facilitation of “Fourmis de Changement”, France.

Youth and education

ICA Benin does work for education and youth protection issues. Here above, pictures of our activities  on family planning and against HIV AIDS in schools areas

COVID 19 initiatives

With the support from Huairou Commission, we are providing assistance to women's groups in Benin. These locations are: Abomey-Calavi, Glo, Zé and Ouidah.








Child protection against COVID 19
This project has been supported by Water Ph ONG, an NGO from Switzerland, coordinated by Mrs. Patricia Hugonin. More than 100 children will benefit from this project.
